July Stay-cation...Antelope Island

The second post for today is of the last day of our stay. We went to Antelope Island (none of us had ever been before). It was pretty neat and it was a beautiful day (slightly overcast so not too hot).

Emma was the only one not freaked out by it.

This is a picture of the only bison we saw during our travels. It was wounded and moving very slowly (lucky for us). The only other animals we saw were 2 coyotes.

At the very end of the island there is the Fielding Garr ranch for visitors to tour. Brent stayed with the little ones who were sleeping in the car while I took the girls.

July Stay-cation...Hogle Zoo

Sorry it took me so long to do this post. I tried to put a little time space in between the posts but I now realize this is not a wise strategy so I will go ahead and post all the other days today. The second day of our trip we went to the Hogle Zoo. This is one pass I really miss from living in Salt Lake.

July Stay-cation

We decided we would travel all the way to Layton (45 minutes away) and stay in a hotel for a few nights and enjoy some of the local attractions that we don't get to see very often. There are a lot of pictures so I am going to post each day separately. The first day we went to the Children's Museum at the Gateway. We have never been there before so it was a new and fun experience , not to mention air conditioned.

Lillie and Emma loved the grocery store complete with food,
baskets, registers, and aprons. It was difficult getting them to leave this section.

Ryan's favorite part of the museum was the water feature.

Abby enjoyed the house and I enjoyed having her cook for a change.
